Nickerson Beach Park has been a part of the Nassau County, NY park system since 1967 and is now operated by the Dover Group. This beachfront park is located along the Atlantic Ocean on Long Island’s south shore and offers its beachgoers amenities such as campgrounds, ball fields, volleyball courts, a par 3 golf course, cabanas, swimming pools, the beach and so much more. We have one main pool on each end of the park as well as one kiddie pool on each end.
Volleyball Courts
Visitors can enjoy a total of 6 beach volleyball courts.
The Fun Zone
The fun zone features playgrounds, a brand new basketball court on the west side, beach volleyball courts and so much more.
Skate Park
Enjoy the skate park at Nickerson Beach Park.
Picnic Areas
There are unreserved and reserved (fee) picnic areas that include barbecue equipment and a campground.
Cabanas & Cabinettes

Par 3 Golf Course
Enjoy the picturesque, seaside par 3 golf course. This nine hole course ranges in length from 47 to 105 yards.
Dog Run
This dog run features designated areas for both small and larger-sized dogs. This area is located across from the fun zone. Dogs are not allowed on the beach.
Food & Beverage
Concessions are available during the summer months only. It is located on the south edge of the fun zone.

What are the Hours at Nickerson Beach Park?
Nickerson Beach Facility is open to the public from April 9, 2023 – November 5, 2023.
Park Hours of Operation: 7-days a week: 8:00am – DUSK
Facility gates are locked at 10:00pm each night. All guests must exit the park prior to 10:00 pm each night.
Toll Booth Hours: 7-days a week: 9:00am-5:30pm from Memorial Day to Labor Day
Can I purchase a Leisure Pass at Nickerson Beach Park?
Leisure Passes CANNOT be purchased at Nickerson Beach. For a list of locations to purchase a Nassau County Leisure Pass, visit this Nassau County website.
What are the parking fees at Nickerson Beach Park?
2023 Parking Fees – General Lot Only
Nassau County Resident Prices- Must Provide valid leisure pass upon entry.
- $15.00 (daily parking fee)
- $110.00 (season parking pass)
- $50.00 for senior citizens (60 years or older), veterans & disabled
Non-Resident Price
- $37.00 (daily parking fee)
- $295.00 (season parking pass)

- $11.00 for children per day (2-17 years of age)
How much is the pitch and putt at Nickerson Beach Park?
The Nickerson Pitch and putt will be open from May 1st to October 31 between the hours of 10:00 am to 5:30 pm daily. (Last tee off at 5:15 pm)

Parking is not included. You must pay the prevailing daily parking fees to enter.
Is there a fee for the Skate Park at Nickerson Beach Park?
Skate Park
You must pay the prevailing daily parking fee to enter between Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Helmet and protective gear are required.
The Skate park closes at dusk. The skate park is open from Memorial Day to Columbus Day weekend.

Night Fishing permits can be used for the hours of 6 pm to 8 am, and are $27 per season. Please visit the administration building at Nickerson or call us to acquire your night fishing permit.
